You see, this world is not our home. It is solely a test for the next. As Rick Warren says in Purpose Driven Life, "at death you won't leave home - you'll GO home." It's so easy for us to get wrapped up in social media and becoming who the world wants us to be! I am extremely guilty of it, especially when it comes to social media such as Facebook and/or Twitter! As I sit here in awe of God's perfect timing, I am reminded that it doesn't matter how many friends you have on Facebook, and God isn't going to ask us how many followers we had on Twitter. He's going to ask what we did to make "FOLLOWERS" of Jesus Christ and what we did to show others "what a 'FRIEND' we [can] have in Jesus!" This doesn't mean we have to delete our accounts (I'll be making a new Twitter account) because they really are a blessing when it comes to keeping in touch with those we hold dear to our hearts, making each other laugh, sharing what God is doing in our lives, etc. - it's simply a way to remind us why we're here, what our mission is, and what we're doing to accomplish that mission! Though Twitter and Facebook are enjoyable, we must keep our focus on the One who equipped us with the ability to enjoy!
"I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." Galatians 5:16
