Christ-Centered Circumstances

Six years ago, my freshman English teacher, Mrs. McMahon, introduced me to Romans 8:28. I had no idea that one simple verse could (and would) transform my thoughts and the way I saw the world around me. As Rick Warren says, "God has a purpose behind every problem. He uses circumstances to develop our character" because "only in suffering will we KNOW Jesus." Trouble is unavoidable. We will ALWAYS face hardships no matter how old we are or how wise we become. However, it is through bad circumstances that God's goodness shines through, and this week has been a graceful reminder of that! God allows us to experience heartache, rejection, and pain because it is a "character-building opportunity" so that through those difficulties, we may grow to become more like Christ! No, life isn't easy, but it's a lot easier when you "seek the sunshine" and look on the bright side of every situation, trusting God that He has a plan. His purpose ALWAYS prevails!

God is good, even when our circumstances are bad. Remember that God's plan for your life is far better than anything you could ever imagine, He loves you and He will never leave nor forsake you! "Don't give up - GROW up" and welcome every situation with open arms so that you may become more like Christ!

"We know that in ALL things, God works for the good of those who love Him, those who have been called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28
